On a score of 1- 10, what is your Self-Love Number?

Sounds so simple, but it is something most of us struggle with!


When we asked women for their score of 1- 10… we didn’t have anyone give a score of over 6 & most were 5 and below. And they mentioned it was a battle for them to work on this number.

Life doesn’t always flow as we would like it to, we become upset with ourselves and use negative talk to blame and berate ourselves. Then this negative energy becomes what we attract to ourselves and how we treat ourselves. Our thoughts indeed create our life.

You go through a few disappointments and it’s easy to stay in that negative frame of mind. Choosing to be positive and having a grateful attitude is a whole cliche, but your attitude is going to determine how you’re going to live your life.


How to find your Self- Love Number?

A task to begin is to be comfortable with looking in the mirror and saying, “I love you I really love you” and see how uncomfortable or genuine you feel. If you have a thought word or belief that comes up when you are looking in the mirror e.g.,  – I’m not pretty, I’m not smart, I am too harsh…take note. This is now the opposite that you will be concentrating on. You will work on changing and challenging this thought pattern.


4 Easy Steps to Increase your Self- Love Number

1. Routine

Having a routine can be helpful at any time, particularly if you are trying to establish healthy habits, a routine for sleep, meals times, work, exercise, and self-care. Systems are a great way to keep control so you don’t lose your routine. It’s easier not to go into overwhelm when you know what is supposed to occur.

2. Affirmations & Gratitude

When we express gratitude, our brain releases dopamine and serotonin, the two crucial neurotransmitters responsible for our emotions, and they make us feel ‘good’. They enhance our mood immediately, making us feel happy from the inside. Affirmations or a positive/grateful statement is a great way to begin making changes. If you’re struggling where to begin  – just google positive quotes and you will find one that works for you.

3. Self-Care

Making and taking time for yourself is a must if you want to lift your self-love number. Putting yourself at the bottom of your list doesn’t show your importance, doesn’t make you a priority in your mind. Prioritize yourself 1 a day 1 a week, 1 hour a day …begin where you feel comfortable.

  • Run a bath
  • Take a walk
  • Do an online exercise class
  • Give yourself a mini facial  – Cleanse, Mist, Exfoliate, Mask & Moisturise
  • Paint your toenails a color that makes you smile when you see them.

4. Decluttering 

When you declutter, you are considering yourself first. Decluttering your environment will clear space to allow you to then declutter other areas of your life. Begin with a space or a room ask yourself  “Do I like and use this, or can I let it go?” Every time you ask, you are kindly putting your attention on your heart and seeing what you feel. It’s an act of loving & considering yourself. The more you ask, the more you strengthen that connection. And the more space you will provide both physically and mentally for energy to flow.

Each day concentrate on reminding yourself of your love for yourself and take note of how this brings change into your life. Start with a small step and then increase more positive talk and action for yourself until you can stand in front of the mirror and comfortably say “I love you, I really love you”
